This compact disk is dedicated to the memory of Joe Pianecki, the original drummer in our orchestra and drummer on this recording. Joe was the first member of the Bob Timko Orchestra. Joe recommended and assisted in the selection of all the original band members. Our mutual choices were Jerry Jasinski on saxophone and clarinet, and Frank Nuititas (Titus) on string bass. I can sincerely affirm that there would not have been a Bob Timko Orchestra without the experience, encouragement, and positive input from Joe. He truly was our “spark plug” in addition to providing and maintaining a flawless metrenome beat for the band members, and dancers on the floor.
We performed and danced to the “beat of our drummer” Joey. His memory will always live on in the minds and hearts of fellow musicians and dancers. He left behind a legacy in his son, Joe Pianecki Jr., who is an accomplished musician and respected drummer. It is with great pride and respect that I dedicate this re-release to Joe Pianecki, my friend and “side kick”, for his limited time with us. God bless you Joe, and peace be with you.

Frank Nuititas (Titus)

Stan Slejko

This compact disc is dedicated to our stage band bassist Frank Nuititas (Titus) and our recording bassist Stan Slejko.

Frank Nuititas (Titus) was the original bassist of the Bob Timko Orchestra and remained with the orchestra until Bob relocated to Clearwater Florida.  Frank made a notable presence to the rhythm of the orchestra.  His enthusiasm and positive reinforcement was priceless and contributed to the orchestra’s lasting success.  All who were musically associated with Frank and had the pleasure of knowing him will cherish the joyful moments and fond memories, for years to come.

Stan Slejko was our recording bassist.  He was an extremely talented musician who was a member of The Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, and appeared throughout greater Cleveland with society orchestras and show bands.  Stan’s professional music ability, knowledge, and support in the recording studio were second to none.  He will always be remembered as helpful, understanding, considerate and a pleasure to be associated with musically.  Stan was truly a “prince” in the field of professional musicians.

It is with great respect and pride that I dedicate this re-release in memory of two worthy individuals, Frank Nuititas (Titus) and Stan Slejko.
